A systematic study of the health status in a given number of population to get the knowledge about any prevailing issues in that particular community, is called as Community Health Assessment. The main purpose of doing this statistics is develop strategies to address the needs in local health.

There are different types of data that are collected for the study and they are as:-

  • Primary data- It is the first handed collected data by doing surveys while going door to door, listening to different observations.
  • Secondary data- This type of data is collected on second hand basis, by any group.
  • Indicators- These data are analyzed after being collected and then are used for community health outcomes.

There are many indicators in the community that helps to study the health issues. Among all the data, the primary data and its related indicators are much useful to implement the needs in a community. Reason being, that data is original and truthful to go with, thereby understanding the clear situation and doing the best possible solution to the prevailing problem.
