In the first scenario where two doctors/interns who were discussing about the condition of Mr. Smith’s mother that she need help of psych consult is not ethically correct because in any health care organization, patient confidentiality is must. Any information which is related to patient should remained confidential and should be disclosed internally on need-to-know basis.

In second scenario, a benefits provider who did a small amount of the hospital's insurance business sends an ornate wooden wine crate containing a dozen bottles of relatively expensive wine to director of HR department on Christmas. It also seems unethical as it can be considered as a bribe because benefits provider is regularly proposing to take more business from organization.

In third scenario, hospital's medical chiefs, Dr. Young sends a bottle of champagne to director of HR department. It seems appropriate as It has also been mentioned that every department head received the same gift within their own company.

If we talk about ideal situation, an organization should publish and disseminate ethical code of conduct to all their employees. As a matter of fact, these codes of conduct should also be distributed to those parties who are doing active business with the organization such as vendors, contractors, third-party agents etc.
