Answer #1

Let us first observe the reaction between KHP and NaOH given below-

KHC8H404 + NaOH = Nak C8H404 + H2O

Hence, 1mol KHP reacts with 1 mole NaOH, so if we determine the number of moles of KHP, the same will be the no of moles of NaOH. Using the volume data, we can then determine the molarity of NaOH in moles per liter.

Molar mass of KHP 204.2 g/mol
Mass of KHP 0.3548 g 0.39 g 0.3533g
Number of moles of KHP 1.7 x 10-3 1.9 x 10-3 1.7 x 10-3
Number of moles of NaOH 1.7 x 10-3 1.9 x 10-3 1.7 x 10-3
Volume of NaOH (in L) 0.022 L 0.0234 L 0.0214 L
Molarity of NaOH (mol/L) 0.077 M 0.081 M 0.079 M

hence, Average concentration of NaOH= (0.077+0.081+0.079)/3 =0.079 mol/L.
