d = distance moved

F = force acting = 2.5 lbs

distance moved is given as

d = W/F

d = 50/2.5

d = 125 ft

P = power of the bulb = 60 Watt

t = time of operation of bulb = 30 min = 30 x 60 sec = 1800 sec

Electrical energy consumed by the bulb is given as

E = P t

W = work done to move

F = force applied = 200 N

d = distance moved = ?

work done to move is same as the electrical energy consumed

hence

W = E

work done is given as

W = F d

E = F d

P t = F d

d = P t/F

d = 60 x 1800/200

d = 540 m
