- Our organization is much more decentralized as supervisor and managers have the authority to take certain decision and they have power to make decision. There is flexibility withing the organization for delegation and decision making power. There is open communication between top management, department managers, supervisors and employees.
- Pros of decentralization:
There is freedom within organization to make decision and give orders this makes organization very much flexible.
Manager and employees are accountable for their decision taken and what they have done for.
Everyone will have to their own unique style and attitude to make decision and that bring variety in decision making and process within organization. There will be many space for innovation and change.
Cons of decentralization:
There will be more dependence on everyone for every task in organization.
There will be lots of competition withing organization and work environment gets unhealthy because of that, there will be lack of coordination and cooperation.
There may be possibility of work duplication in department.
- Decentralization can benefit for the patient need cause it will take lesser time to make decision for the individual need of patient since department heads or managers don't need to take permission from top management and they can take decision by themselves. For such small things manager or doctor will not consult with top management and there will be quick decision about patient need.
