Explain the interaction within the epidemiologic triangle.
Epidemiologic triangle is mainly designed to known the causative agent or causative organism in the host found in the environment .These three things are necessary for developing any form of infection.
For example
Common cold us caused by virus. It is present everywhere ,unless it comes in contact with a susceptible host or a place to reside in the environment it can't be active or cause any infection or disease.Hence the orforganism present in the environment has to interact with each other to produce an ill effect.
Use an infectious disease as an example, identify how an epidemiologist may use the Epidemiologic Triangle to prevent and/or control the disease.
DI Question 40 2 pts Using the epidemiologic triangle, list the host, agent, and environment for the outbreaks associated with "Typhoid Mary" in the early 1900s. HTML Editor v Paragra Host: Agent Environment:
True or False The epidemiologic triangle is the only way to model the spread of infectious disease. Herd immunity must be at 100% to protect the group. One of the difficulties of conducting environmental epidemiology studies is accurate measurement of exposure. The healthy worker effect is a type of bias that says that people who have jobs tend to have higher mortality. The social environment only affects the health of people who live in developing countries. Jobs that are highly...
Discuss the various options for sampling and cohort formation within epidemiologic cohort studies. As a practicing epidemiologist, how would you go about selecting the best sampling and cohort formation options for a particular study?
Explain what is the Epidemiologic Transition and Demographic Transition? Please explain what is the morbidity and what is mortality? Please explain what primary prevention, second prevention, and tertiary mean?
what questions are descriptive epidemiologic studies designed to answer? 200 words Explain the differences between incidence rates and prevalence rates. Provide an example of each? 200 words Explain the multicausation disease model. 200 words
which of the following is the strongest type of interaction that occurs between the atoms within the circled areas H NEHO N HN DR 0 R _ 16. Which of the following is the strongest type of interaction that occurs between the atoms within the circled areas of the two molecules represented above? A) Polar covalent bond B) Nonpolar covalent bond C) Hydrogen bond D) London dispersion forces
Briefly explain what is meant by: a) The strong interaction b) The weak interaction c) Electron capture d) The Chart of the Nuclides e) Nuclear binding energy
On the basis of current epidemiologic evidence, explain the current issue of heart disease factors that have contributed to the following: the observed trend in mortality rates for this disease, the changes in survival; the changes in incidence. A key concept in epidemiology is that of the levels of prevention. As a community health nurse, describe primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention interventions related to this health issue. Are there modifiable factors, such as health behaviors that lend themselves to better...
explain how the epidemiologic transition is related to the demographic transition. Consider John Snow's work and the fact that the cholera bacterium (or microorganisms and their relation to disease) was not yet discovered at the time he identified the source of the epidemic at the Broad St Pump. Why, based on your current understanding, was he considered to be the Father of Epidemiology and what does it say to you about the strengths of epidemiology as a discipline?
