ANS) The Psychological Developmental Theory was made Eric Erikson. This theory says that the individuals grow on the basis of interconnections of their customs, body and intelligence. There are some phases that made his theory and they are,

1) The initial stage is Trust vs.Mistrust.Here the new born baby may trust that the universe is good enough with their parents quality behaviour. And an infant may grow mistrust if his or her parents fail to fulfill the needs of the baby.

2) The second phase is Autonomy vs.Shame and this is in the age of 1.5 years to 3 years. At this stage the young one will study to consume food, use lavatory and communicate. And if case if the young one have a difficulty in studying various skills like this, then the child will feel a shame and which may results in the decreased self-respect.

3) The third phase is Initiative vs. Guilt and this is in the period of 3 to 5 years. At this stage the young one will start imitating the grown person. The young one will occupy initiative with entertainments by making stories regarding them. The young ones at this time feel guilt .

4) The forth phase is Industry vs.inferiority and this is in the age period of 6 to 12.Now the child can do lots of tasks that results in a feel of industry but in case if the child cannot do the tasks, then he or she will experience a inferiority.

5) The fifth phase is Identity vs.Confusion and this will be in the age period of 12 to 18.In this period of time he or she will be a teenager and they should study to sight themselves individually from their mother and father and in case if this objective failed to achieve, then the teenager will goes through confusion.

6) The sixth stage is Intimacy vs. Isolation happens in the period of 18 to 35 age.At this period the grown person will really try to make connections with other people and make a family and if in case the individual fail to make the good relationships, then that leads to isolation.

7) The seventh stage is Generatively vs.Stagnation and this will be in the period of 35 to 65 age. This is the period of time in which the individual do their job and running their family and they will try to transmit their bequest to their child or the persons surrounding them and that is generatively. But in case if the individual fail to fulfill these things, then that individual come to be really stagnant.

8) The last stage is Integrity vs. Despair and this is in the period from age 65 till dying. Here if the person feel that some of the good changes has developed due to them, then the individual will be feel an integrity and if an older individual is thinking that he or she didn't made any good changes to the universe, then they will feel despair.

It is very mandatory for a nurse to be aware of this special theory for replaying to their client. And if a nurse is having a awareness about this theory, then this will support them in examining a patients characteristic way of behaving in the circumstances of disturbing past occurrences and problems with present evolutionary functions. The nurse can also understand the incorrect conduct of their clients and support them like a counselor. The nurses are also able to support their clients who suffer from many problems by giving a good care.
