Ways to assess and evaluate students:

• One minute paper: It is done during the last few minute of the class. The students are asked to write down the most important points on the class and what they have not understood well.
• Chain notes: In this the teacher passes an envelope containing a question regarding the class and each student has to write their response and put it in the envelope and pass it to the entire class.
• Student generated test question: The class is divided into groups and each group a topic on which each student is asked to write a question and answer which is given for the next test. This gives an assurance that the student will get at least one question right.
• Student representative group: As the students to form groups and have a meeting with the teacher to discuss regarding the course, how they are performing and suggestions to improve the course. This helps the students to open up to the teacher and give suggestions for the teacher and the class.
• Suggestion box: A box is kept near the classroom and students are asked to leave notes regarding any class issues. These suggestions are reviewed and responded in the next class.
