1) goals - eradicate infection, prevent complications, provide symptomatic relief,etc

2)look for causes of its, ask from patient.

3)normally antibiotics therapy require 3-5 days but may continue for 2 weeks if complicated.

4)eg - ceftazidime, cefepime, piperacillin, aztreonam etc. Class - fluoroquinolones.

5) inform the patient to drink more amount of water so that bacteria may flush out. Empty bladder as soon as or at least 3 hourly. Wear cotton underwear bcoz bacteria grows in moist area and cotton don't absorb moisture. Eat plenty of fruits which contain vitamin c like orange juice, citric juice etc bcoz vitamin c inhibit bacteria growth.
