Finance refers to the fund’s procurement and its allocation in a manner by which profit, and wealth can be maximized. The above definition is confined definition of finance, but its scope is not.
The following are the learning and takeaways from finance study:
The individual while studying finance learns the different ways by which funds can be procured from various sources and its optimal utilization to generate profit. This is done by considering the risk and time value of money which are the two main things that should be considered under finance.
Importance of finance subject from MBA perspective:
Risk management is also important for finance manager to look after as the business operates in an uncertain environment.
The finance subject is of utmost importance in a business as the business cannot run without funds and for fund management finance manager is required. “Finance” in MBA helps a student to learn various topics such as stock analysis, investment management, corporate finance, valuation of shares, capital budgeting, financial instruments, derivative market, investment banking and so on which are importance to run a profitable business in an uncertain environment.
The executive should know all the financial information so that the person can predict the future well. On the basis of strong subject knowledge along with experience, proper financial planning can be done.
