Receiving phone calls in a meeting or important business communication might make your colleagues, clients and peers get distracted and lose focus on you. They might get distracted and irritated too. If the ringtone is loud and harsh it might reflect badly on you and might break the connect with your listeners.If it is urgent then one should move aside and speak in a soft tone to avoid any discomfort to other members of the office.
Phone call should be returned in business within the same day as it might show you are avoiding the person, your irresponsibility will be shown and also the caller might feel you are careless. Most importantly , while driving with colleagues or clients never pick up phone as it is illegal and it will portray the rash nature of the person.
Political, sensitive issues,etc should not be discussed on phone in office or in business meeting as others might judge you on your beliefs.Alarms and notifications should not be loud and most importantly never leave the phone as a loud alarm sound or notification might disturb the colleagues and they may reflect badly upon you.
