I am interested in the specialty area of Family Nurse practitioner in the future. In this field, I will face many challenges because I may come across many disease condition and also need to face the administrative issue. I cannot predict the infectious and communicable diseases. I need to be flexible to adapt to various situations. At the micro level, it impacts the individual patient care. The nurse has to manage the individual patient from an acute problem to chronic conditions. It is the family nurse practitioner responsibility to assess the patient, do the lab test, and to diagnose the condition. Then she needs to send to the specialist as needed. As a family practitioner, she needs a depth knowledge and skills in diagnosing of patients appropriately. The wrong diagnosis will lead to waste of time and money.

At meso level, lack of adequate staff to care of the family as a whole. The health information system should be properly supported. Otherwise, it is critical to review the databases of patient and to provide evidence-based care. Evidenced Based practice is necessary for good judgment and clinical decision. Research studies and practice are complicated due to the lack of an information system and workflow. At the macro level, it impacts the economic and political system. It increases the cost to adopt the new technology, resources, drugs, and other feasibility. It creates a lot of administrative issues in implementing new support and managing the financial condition. The nurse needs more training and support to protect the health care system.

At microsystem levels, I address the issues in the examination of the patient and clinical decision. Needs proper training, leadership skills, education to present relevant patient information to the physician. Proper analysis of patient risks and benefits is necessary for clinical judgment. Adequate driving force is essential for implementing of new intervention and to participate in research activities. Promoting research and evidence-based practices will make more students come to the area of the family nurse practitioner in the future.
