To The Stakeholders,

Over past few years, there is increased role of data scientist. This is happening as in present age there are several sources from where data are available. But every data is not useful, as data vulnerability depends upon the objective, methodology and way used in collecting data. Even now a days organisation requirement as well as expectation related to information has changed. We can say that data as begun to change our relationship to fields. Because of these everyone is now looking towards data scientist and data scientist is now key role in organisation.

But despite of all above mentioned, there are cases where decision makers are not getting the value they could from data science. There happens that lots of insights are available but couldn't be capitalized. There are many factors responsible for this. From there majors are given here below-

1. lack of management/financial support,

2. lack of clear question to answer.

3. results not used by decision makers.

4. explaining data science to others.

It is also experienced that certain times data teams are having valuable insights but can't sell them. It is due to misunderstanding or oversimplification of the analysis. Certain time also it happens that we, people expect magic from data science team to answer all questions. It is also felt at management team level that they have invested lots of money on data science team but not getting desired results as results are not communicated in language expected to listen.

But to address all these we should take initiative to curb these gaps. which starts from properly defining objective of analysis, framing of good hypothesis to avoid ill-form, continuous in-touch with data team, addressing data team queries and concerns, mid way discussion to check progress level of analysis and important is understanding of insights gathered by data scientist.
