Question
A = 3, B = 3
Three charges are located as shown in the attached figure. Qi is a negative charge of magnitude (A 2) uC (mictocoulombs) and is located at (0, 0.30) m; Q2 is a positive charge of magnitude (B +4) uC and is located at the origin, and Qs is a positive charge of magnitude (A+ B DuC and is located at (0.40, 0) m. What is the total electric potential due to the three charges at the point marked P? Round your answer to two significant figures. Do NOT post your work, just your answer. Your answer is either marked good, if it is correct or the correct answer is posted. a1 +03 +Q2

Answer #1

In this question we have to find the electric potential due to three charges at a point. Since electric potential is a scalar quantity we only need to find the distance between the charges and the point P. The electric potential is given by the relation 9 electric potential from charge Q1 is (3 +2) x 10_112500 0.40 0.40 similarly the electric potential due to the charge Q2 B+2 x 10-6 (3 +2) x 10-6 - 126000 V0.40+0.30 /0.40*+0.30 for Q3 (A+B+1) x 10-6 (3 +3+1) x 10-0 0.30 210000 0.30 total electric potential at point P would be Va + Vo, +Vo 223500
