- Disaster is the serious disruption occurimg in the particular community which adversly affect the people ,material, economic status ,and environment .
- The people may have the serious injuries and may loss life also .
- As a surgical technologist it is resposibility to prepare the material for disaster management .
- He should arrange the room with all necessory equipment and other things such as medications ,iv strands , if fluids ,cotton ,bandages and sterile dressing etc .
- In case of cardiac arrest in disaster ,he should call for help ,check the response of people , if no cardiac and respiratory rate ,start CPR as early as possible .
- Assist the doctors in treating the patient with cardiac arrest .
- Help the physician and provide necessory things to CPR such as o2 , ambu bag , suction equipment and life saving drugs such as atropin and adrenalin etc
- Transfer the people as early as possible to hospitals .
