  • Land held for long-term capital appreciation.
  • Land held for a currently undetermined future use.
  • Building or Vacant building held for leased out under an operating lease.
  • Constructed or developed property for future use as investment property.

Hence, According to IAS 40, Apartments (which comes under Constructed or developed property for future use as investment property) are the example for investment property. (Option 2 only correct.)
