Solution:

A) At point 1

T = P * V / n*R

=> T = 100 *1000* 2 / 66 * 8.314

=> T = 364.48 K

=> T = 360 K ( in two significant figures)

B) Using,

P = nRT/V = mV + c (equation of the straight line)

=> T = (mV2 + cV) / nR............(i)

=> for maximum temperature dV/dT should be zero ,

=> after solving , 2mV + c = 0

=> V = 1.5 m^3

Using equation 1 we get

=> T = 410 K ( in two significant figures)
