What would I write about ? Not sure what the teacher is wanting please help me ! Told only to chose one diversity ? Help help

Understanding the various diverse populations is important in the healthcare industry. Diversity may include age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, and cultural values. This project will enhance your knowledge and understanding of a specific diverse population. You will need to select a diverse population and write a 3-4 page paper (title page and reference page not included in the page count) about the barriers you may encounter in a customer service capacity within a healthcare setting with that specific population. Once you have selected a population, find a case study that describes a communication barrier and what was done to ensure effective and successful customer service. You will want to explain in detail the barriers that were presented (language, fear, or cultural differences), the reason for the barriers, and also processes followed or implemented to ensure effective customer service.

Diversity means in simple term referred to as difference in every aspects of individual according to their culture ,race,ethnicity etc.,There may be many diversity existing in an ecosystem. For example we live on an ecosystem which is diversified with living beings like human ,animals, plants,etc.,Similarly diversity exists in particularly in each species.Let's see about the minority population in US .The most minority populations in US nation are African Americans .Their culture are extremely different and this may affect the health care system directly or indirectly both the sides like.

They have a poor bonding with the health care professionals some are as follows

• Language problem
• Communication and respecting elders are considered chief and health condition to be discussed with them
• Their ancestors had a poor experience with the clinicians in the past
• Low income group
• Fast food accessibility and obesity problem due to it
• A good rapport for providing quality care to the patient is very essential.
• Important health issues has to be discussed with family's elder
• They believe on herbal remedies and black magic for curing illness.

Hence to provide a customer friendly services these things as to be sorted and taken care for better quality care.
