What are several workplace discrimination issues that are important for managers to understand?
Workplace discrimination in employment is fully illegal. Managers should understand what these discriminations are.
These are as below:
No.1) Age discrimination: there should not be any age-preference in job. All employees should get equal benefits and scopes irrespective of their age.
No.2) Religious discrimination: a certain group of employees having a certain religion should not be preferred more in employment than other employees.
No.3) Gender discrimination: Male and female must be equally treated in job. Unless the job is not conducive for all, there should not be any gender preference – since the work in mining is risky, only male workers are recruited there.
No.4) Skin color discrimination: basically there are two types of skin colors – black and white. Preferring a particular skin color is completely illegal. Any sort of advertisement mentioning such preference can’t be done or the recruitment process must not indulge such discrimination.
