The employees of the organization are considered to be both the expense & the asset for the company. This implies that the company’s productivity & profitability are influenced by the workers who perform up to their full potential. To make these employees fully perform up to their potential, it would be in the hands of the leaders & managers who use their managerial skills & capabilities in assigning tasks to the suitable employees. On the other hand if the managers & leaders themselves are incapable, the achievement of organizational goals becomes a tedious task.
The management & leadership skills are especially more important in sensitive areas like financial department where the foundation of the organization lies. The employees would be answerable to every dollar & must exercise their full potential in carrying out their duties.
For example, we can take a person who is handling the cash flow statements & cash which is the most sensitive area of an organization& the preparer makes mistake & even if the manager or the supervisor fails to identify the same it would create a hell lot of problems both for the employee & the organization as a whole. The manager must always be readily available in assisting his employees & guiding them in achieving the organizational goals.
