Hydration during exercise is essential because it affects the performance of the clients so proper balance between water and electrolytes should be maintained.

Guidelines health coaches should share with clients concerning hydration during exercises are as follows :-

1) Health coaches should guide their clients when and how much fluids / water they should consume depending upon their nature of exercises or shorts they are performing or according to their body weight . Generally it is suggested to drink 180- 200 ml of water for every 15 - 20 minutes of activities. Clients should take some snacks and meals containing some amount of sodium.

2) Clients should be encouraged to take plenty of water or juicy fruits before practice or competition as many of food items causes dehydration.

3) Health coaches also guide their clients to monitor and recognise the colour and amount of Urine excreating before exercising . A normal hydrated client produces Clear or light yellowish good amount of Urine whereas dehydrated client produces darker, less amount of Urine.
