1, Encourage child to play and praise them with their activity,
provide open-ended toys like board games, coloring books to
encourage their imagination. Never over organize child. Allow
mixed-age play for increasing learning opportunities. Introduce a
neighbor network of parents and allow little time for Watching TV
and computers. Make them get boarded to come up with their own
ideas of what to do next, Be realistic while playing, play with
them as a priority concern.
2,- Provide an opportunity to contribute to regular work
-Make them think on their own for their daily tasks.
-Praise them for their activity when it was good, correct and
encourage them if it is wrong. Avoid punishments.
-Provide routine work and improve learning skills.
-Make the child interact with others to improve new skills.
-Provide responsible work for self-grooming and make a timetable
for their activity.
3, a, Palliative care is quality care for the patient and the
entire family to solve problems physically and psychologically when
the patient is terminally ill.
b, communicate well with the child for increasing trust
relationship
Encourage child enjoyment of favorite toys, foods, games etc.
the child may demand with ability to communicate due to brain tumor
symptoms, be patience and provide adequate time to
communicate.
Assess child fear and altered mental status. the child may not
express their symptoms and physical discomfort. assess child
different level of activities and changes and provide
nonpharmacological and pharmacological interventions like mild
massages, cold and heat stimulation, physical therapy, playing mild
music and as per doctor orders provide medications to relive
psychological and physical symptoms.
c, Provide emotional support for the entire family and connect with
a pediatric oncology support community.
The palliative care team should include family and siblings when
they grieve and bereave. Have a meaningful goal to comfort them.
make a consultation with physical therapy, child life specialist,
hospice, and supportive resources. provide cognitive behavioral
therapy, play therapy and make close bereavement follow-up for a
sibling. provide education to the entire family and make them
connect with the community group.
