Answer #1

According to health care professionals ,confidentiality is keeping trust of a patient that the data shared by him/ her is safe with the health care professional which raise the kept standard of the profession .The confidentiality of a nurse prevent leakage of data into unauthorised peoples access, integrity prevent any alteration and change of patient data by unauthorized people, and availability refers to the access to the systems and resources needed by the authorised patient for his data when and where needed which included as right to patient for information.

Informatic ethics cover 7 principles , as apart of ethical behaviour required when an individual specially a health care professional handle data and information of a patient, they are:

Privacy, openness, security, access, legitimate, infringement, least intrusive alternatives, accountability.

As the resident physician , i am now clear that the patient is aware about his diagnosis from the patient portal, but how far he is aware about his health status is to be cleared by a close discussion with him. As a health professional , i am aware that the patient has the right to information, and right to refuse a treatment ; so as a resident physician i need to bring him back to a positive attitude towards his life by setting up examples of recovery of patient, importance of positive attitude and behaviors for a fast recovery. The patient will be approached tactically , so that as he realised the bitter truth , he need to be helped on how to face it! He has to pulled out of his bad mood by bringing back to topics which he love to hear like soccer game, the soccer players biography etc..

A happy environment and diversional therapy is the best medicine to help MT to overcome the situation.
