A. Scenario: A health care worker who is ethically opposed to abortion is asked to refer a patient to a clinic that performs elective abortions. Develop a plan detailing how the Health care worker would fulfill professional duties without allowing personal ethics to influence the care of the patient.

B. Scenario: Describe an incident in which the health care worker would set aside personal beliefs in order to provide compassionate and professional care to a patient who practices a different religion than his/her own. C. Scenario: A patient pays his bill in cash. At the end of the day, the health care worker discovers that he/she failed to give the correct change to that patient, resulting in a significant cash overage. Identify the ethical issue and demonstrate the appropriate response that would include a plan.

D. Scenario: During a particularly busy day while setting up a sterile field, the medical assistant or surgery technologist inadvertently contaminates the field, but continues setting up for the procedure and does not inform the provider of the breach. a.ETHICS

The term ethics originated from a Greek word ethos which means habit or custom.

Ethics is one subject or discipline which deals with morality and helps in deciding "what is good or what is bad."

Ethics deals with different values,standards and also how to judge.

Personal ethics: Personal ethics deals with the individual morality or behaviour or values.these personal ethics can influence various groups which are around the individual such as the family,working groups,peer and other relatives also.

• personal ethics helps us to build up our character in the society.
• helps in proper decision making.
• helps to set our own standards or values in the society.
• helps to reach our goals easily.
• makes us as a good human being.

The personal ethics that need to be maintained are:

• Honesty: honesty is nothing but being truthful to self and others.
• Integrity: Integrity is being honest and to strong by holding to the values and standards even under pressure.
• Fairness: Fairness is maintaining the equality and same actions with all the individuals without partiality.
• Loyalty: Being loyal which means trustworthy and also to keep up the standards.
• Concern and respect for others: all individuals should respect others as human beings and also should show concern towards the individual.
• Commitment: Being committed to the work or any other issue which is allotted to the individual.
• Accountability: being responsible for their duties or roles
• Promise keeping: what ever the agreements are taken that need to be performed otherwise people may loss trust on the individual.

All the individual ethics can be followed in all the professions in order to shine in the profession as well as to render proper care for the individuals.

Professional ethics are the principles that need to adhered or followed when undertaking a profession.

NOW I HAVE CHOOSE NURSING AS MY PROFESSION.How the personal ethics are influencing or how to apply the personal ethics in to profession means:

• honesty:being truthful to the client,explain the reality to the client and don't give any false reassurances.
• integrity:being strong to the rules and regulations.Here in nursing profession the nurse cannot administer the drugs without any order if patient or some one forces to give the drugs it should not be done.
• fairness: should treat all the individuals similarly without any partiality without considering the caste,creed and religion.
• loyalty:being trustworthy with the client.Never give any false believes to the client.
• Concern and respect:you should concern the client 1st and respect the client as a human being.
• commitment:being committed to the work what ever is assigned to you.
• accountability:being responsible for the work and you should feel responsible for your patient and try to render the care completely.
• promise keeping:what ever the promises you have given to the patient should be done.if you fail to do explain the situation if not client develops mistrust against the nurse.

scenario A:The client is having a right for abortion.As a nurse your role is to explain about the consequences of abortion and you can also explain about the contraceptive measures so that she can avoid the pregnancy.But you cannot your personal ethical issues on the patient.This may become forcing the client not to abort which is violation or damaging the rights of the client,so you can just explain the complications and preventive measure.

scenario B: The care should be given to the client without considering the religion.some of religions may interfere with the client health and illness but still you have to consider the religious beliefs.In some religions dietary factors plays a major role where it will be affecting the client's health in that case you can explain the complications or the purpopses of following that particular diet which can help the patient to think over it.But here also you cannot apply your personal decisions or values on the patient.Finally the decision maker will be the client.

scenario C:In this case the health care worker is having Negligence where she failed to give the correct cash.This can be reported to the appropriate authority and the information need to be given to the client.The amount should be refunded to the client

scenario D:In this scenario the health care worker is doing the malpractice and negligence.The person can inform to the incharge and can arrange another set up without leaving and continuing with the unsterile techniques.Necessary actions will be taken if it is not rectified by the particular health care worker.
