Let the radius of the record is r= 10 cm = 0.1m

Linear velocity of the bug V= 42 cm/s= 0.42 m/s

Then the centripetal acceleration can be written as

acceleration (a) = V^2/r

a= 0.422/0.1

a=1.764 m/s^2

This is the centripetal acceleration of the bug

Hence d is correct answer
