Answer #1

ANSWER.

Q.1) Calculation of dosage volume.

          Formula

              Volume(ml) = Desired dose/Dose in hand * Quantity.

         Here

             Desired dose (D) = 500 mg (0.5g).

             Dose in hand (H) = 500 mg.

                Quantity (Q) = 10 ml.

   As per above formula

          Volume (ml) of drug required = D/H * Q

                                                         = 500/500 * 10

                                                         = 1 * 10

                                                         = 10 ml.

Q.2) Calculation of dosage volume.

           Formula

Volume(ml) = Desired dose / Dose in hand * Quantity.

        Here

              Desired dose (D) = 750 mg (0.75 g)

              Dose in hand (H) = 500 mg.

                   Quantity (Q) = 1 ml

    As per above formula

           Volume (ml) of drug required = D/H * Q

                                                          = 750/500 * 1

                                                          = 1.5 * 1

                                                          = 1.5 ml.
