ball makes an angle of theta = 30 degree with the horizontal

resolving the velocity into x and y components

x component or horizontal component = 50 cos (30) = 43.30 m/s

y component or vertical component = 50 sin (30) = 25 m/s

since the ball moves upward and we consider the upward movement as positive so vertical component of initial velocity = +25 m/s.
