1)The nurse should be aware of both menopause and fibroids pathophysiology.

As the patient is of 46 yards she may be in her pre or perimenopause.During menopause women actually bleeds a lot and the clots may present during the cycle.During menopause stage the women may bleed for 10 days in which 3 or 4 days will have heavy bleeding.And pain will be there during the cycle.

But if the patient during the cycle have large blood clots it may be a sign for something wrong.As the patient explained above her family has a history of fibroids she may also be suffering from fibroids.Fibroids cause heavy bleeding with full of clots.

So the nurses should be aware of both the pathophysiology concepts to effectively manage the client sutuation.
