Case fatality rate is the proportion of people died due to a specific disease among the people diagnosed with the same disease over a period of time. It is calculated by dividing the number of deaths due to a specific disease over a period of time to the number of people diagnosed with that disease at the same period.

Case fatality rate = x 100 = 0.1818 x 100 = 18.18 percentage
