Answer :

Workers have right to a safe work place .

  • Fear : workers think they will get in trouble For almostvhaving an accident .
  • It is embarising : workers dont want to be called on to explain their embarrassing accident .
  • Not recognised as hazard : workers who are illiterate and ignorant ,they dont even realize that accident occured to them .
  • Repoting is not easy enough : workers think that the process to report about hazard has too many steps and it is time consuming or is otherwise too convoluted .
  • Workers dont know how : there is a reporting system in place but no instruction was provided on when or how to report incident .
  • Loss of reputation : by owning up to hazard and other workers may feel that others will see them as weak or accident prone .
  • Workers are pressured to keep quite : if reporting a hazard it affects safety statistics that are tied to bonuses ,workers almost definitely wont want to report them .
  • No employee motivation : workers arent interested in reporting incident .
  • There is no system For reporting : yes , it sounds pretty obvious ,but it is very much the truth .more workers than ypu should suspect find themselves with suggestions For safety improvements ,Gud dont know of any suggestion his at their place of working.

What might be done to encourage worker reporting :

  • Instill a culture that prioritizes safety and concern For workers health
  • Make sure workers feel comfortable pointing out flaws ,whether its their own or with in the work place .
  • Encourage a workplace that values safety reporting and praise workers who come forward and staff their hazards .
  • Conduct awareness programmes and workshops where team members take an active role by brain storming hazardous situation and how to avoid them .
  • Take the issue seriously and Try to avoid in future.
  • Educate the workers to report the incidents which really faced by them
  • Provide regular health check ups
  • Provide safety concerns and equipment required in work place .
