Answer #1

Pharmacology is branch of biology concerned with which of drug action , where a drug can be broadly defined as any man made ,natural or endogenous molecule which exerts a biochemical or physiological effect on the cells ,tissue ,organism

The interaction that occur between a living organism and chemical that affect the normal or abnormal biochemical function .

This encompasses drug composition and properties ,synthesis.

Social sciences is a field of health science which generates knowledge about marketed drugs in actual Use , it focus on evaluation of social consequences of an individual exposure to any marketed drug and factors related to utilisation .

Safety of medication administration :

Before administration of medication , the nurse should foolow the rights of medication administration such as

  • Right medication _ this means that the medication that given os the right medication.
  • Pharmacy incorrectly dispenses medication similar to that odered medication.
  • The nurse administers a medication that has a similar name
  • Nurse administer medication not prepared by them.always listen for cues from the patient .if they state that have never seen this medication before or it doesnt look the same ,recheck the medication order.
  • Right dosage _ before administration check the prescribed dosage for the particular patient
  • This means that the patient is given the dose that was ordered and the dose is appropriate due the patient .
  • Right patient _ giving medication to the patient for ehom it was intended.to avoid errors Use two identifiers ,ask the patient to state their name and check the name band with the medication administration record .
  • Right route : the medication is given only the route that was ordered and that the route is safe and appropriate for the patient .always double check the route of administration .
  • Right time : this means that the drug was given at the correct time as ordered or according to agency policy .most institutions consider a medication to be given on time if given 30 minutes befobefore and after the prescribed time.
  • Right reason : this is important to make sure that right medication was ordered.
  • Right documentation.
  • Remember the W's when documenting medication administration on patient chart

3) principles :

  • The purpose of studying pharmacokinetics and dynamics is to understand the drug action ,therapy ,design, development and evaluation.
  • Pharmaco kinetics is what the body does to drug like how the drug is absorbed ,distributed ,metabolised and excreted by the body drug disposition.
  • Pharmacodynamics is what the drug does to the body which may be the therapeutic effects or adverse effects .
  • Pharmacominetics involves absorption, drug distribution , metabolism and elimination

Pharmacodynamics refers to the relationship between drug concentration at site of action and the resulting effect ,including the time course and intensity of therapeutic and adverse effects.

  • The effect of drug present at site of action is determinedby that binding with receptor.
  • The concentration at the site of receptor determines the intensity of drug effect.

4) to increase the efficiency and reducing of cost ,re engineering work process and improving quality of care .

By implementation of information technology in drug class ,pharmacokinetics and dynamics ,it provide accurate information regarding drug class when ever necessary

No need to hand written appliance

Information techmology very much help ful in pharmocokinetics and dynamics .

Medication errors are very less

It can able to detect the minute errors .

Quality of drug may improved

Very easy processing to agent .
