UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION:

In this system the government guarantees every citizens access to a certain level of medical care. That means quality service to all. It provides health care and at a time financial protection. This is also known as multi-payer health care system but also it have single payer system on other hand.

Most of the countries have universal health coverage but some of them have best healthcare. Those countries are

United kingdom, Australia, Netherlands, Newzealand and Norway, Switzerland and Sweden, Germany, Canada and France.

United states ranked only 19th because they don't have universal coverage as such. They have only recently enacted legislation mandating health care coverage for almost everyone. US is the only very highly developed country that does not have universal health system.

In Canada they annually pay a substantial amount of money for health care goods and services thru taxes.

PROS OF UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM :

1. Financial protection to all.

2. ease of accessibility.

3. Keeps costs low and control prices.

4. Reduces administrative costs of care access.

5. Provides quality service.

6. Planning and co-ordination advantages.

CONS OF UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM:

1. It requires healthy people to pay for others.

2. Less incentive to provide quality care.

3. Long wait times.

4. Limit the accuracy of patient care.

According to best of my knowledge I really support the universal health care system. Everything has advantages and disadvantages but then also I think this system is more effective. I will provide points on what basis I am supporting this system.

Universal health care system is having high quality people centered and integrated interventions. It has free universal access based on need and not the ability to pay. It has low management costs and cash limited. It provides health care and financial protection to all residents of a particular country or region. The government controls the price of medication and medical services through negotiation and regulation. It eliminates the administration costs of dealing with different health insurers. It also helps children . When children are able to get the care they require for good health , it builds a foundation for future success.
