Answer: In the pregnancy, women requires sufficient amount of the nutrients to have healthy delivery and child.

Folic acid: The requirement of folic acid during pregnancy is 400mcg per day. The folic acid prevents birth defects during pregnancy such as infant's brain and spinal cord.

Iron: The optimal requirement of the iron during pregnancy is 30mg to 60mg per day. The supplements of iron is necessary during pregnancy as it reduces the risk of low birth rate as well as maternal Anemia.

Zinc: zinc is essential during pregnancy as it is given in the last two trimester. The requires amount is 9.6mg per day.

Copper: The daily requirement of copper is 0.7 mg as it is essential in the formation of baby's heart, skeleton etc.

Calcium: The 1000mg of calcium is necessary during pregnancy as the weight during pregnancy increases in which bone has to be strong to bear the weight.

Vitamin D: 400IU as well as additional supplements required during pregnancy. It reduces the risk of low birth weight as well as risk of preclampsia.
