Answer: The evidence-based treatment is mainly focused on the type of treatment through the particular way. The evidence based treatment helps the healthcare professionals to withdraw the addiction in many people.
The evidence based treatment for the opioid substance can be treated by two ways i.e. pharmacotherapy and behavioral therapy. The pharmacotherapy consists of use of medicine to withdraw the drug abuse. Methadone is one of the common drug which reduces the craving of the opioid. The other medicine can be use is buprenorphine, it has been found the effective medication based of evidence.
The behavioral therapy involves the proper contacting with the patient and making him understand the side effects and Adverse effects of the addiction of a opioids.
