Answer: The evidence based guidelines can improve the condition of the person having acute stroke. The RN should indulge themselves in evidence based practice for acute stroke care.

  • The triage and rapid management has shown to be the first method which can reduce the disparities. The quick assessment, management as well as triage could easily prevent the stroke onset.
  • Nurse should not delay the assessment as it has been proved that delay in assessment may lead to increase in 5% of more onset of the stroke symptoms.
  • The monitoring and treatment reduces the number of day of addmission of the patient. The RN should implement the specialized stroke codes and medication such as aspirin administration as well as implementation of care plans reduces the number of days patient stays in the hospital.

The two interprofessional team members the RN must collaborate are:

  • The Nurse should collaborate with the professional of occupational therapy to provide better care to the patient.
  • The physical therapy is required to provide patient better movements of hands and legs. There could be effect of stroke.
