Domestic violence is a act committed towards a person by a family member or a partner.It may be physical or psychological abuse which result in the death of thousands of people.

In every 20 seconds a person is becoming a victim of domestic violence.

Domestic violence is abuse towards a person whether it is child ,partner or family.Domestic violence include physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, economic abuse or stalking a person is also consider as domestic violence. Domestic violence occur to people of different age and gender.

Domestic violence occurs due to several causes such as jealousy, anger, low self esteem, need to control partner or psychological disorders etc.Alcohol consumption and drugs also contribute to violence.

Signs of domestic violence on a person.

1) Unexplained cuts, bruises.

2) Being uncomfortable towards their partner.

3)Being fearfull for normal things.

4)Making excuses for their partners.

5)A person controlling and threatening a person behaviour and activities is also include in abuse.

Care given to the victim includes.

Call police if you saw a person being violent towards their partner.Help them by explaining the situation.Encourage them to join for councling.Dont judge them and be patient.Provide support to the victim.

What ever the reason it may be violence towards a person is wrong and it is punishable offence.
