Research how the ACA moved through the agenda setting process in terms of the three streams and the window of of opportunity
The Agenda Setting which led to the ACA ( Affordable Care Act) is the process that determines solutions to certain problems of a given field. It also contains 3 streams such as a) problems b) policies and c) politics. However, these 3 strams interact each other when windows of opportunity are open with problem solutions. In healthcare system, the agenda towards Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act are based on the total number of patients with uninsured citizens and others with rising cost of medical care. A failure in the act has been denoted, as the access to healthcare was conducted through health insurance, which in most cases the sufferes was the low income people. On the otherhand, a person with no insurance is capable of receiving care at a reduced quality and by paying direct costs. This was the reason why the ACA has removed from the Agenda Setting Process.
