Using the tables that are located throughout Chapter 2 of your textbook (one for each domain of the Purnell Model for Cultural Competence, Table 2-1 to Table 2-12), answer these questions as they relate to you. Remember, you are answering these questions from your personal perspective, so there is no right or wrong response. Explain why you do or do not adhere to the dominant cultural practices and beliefs of the ethnic group(s) with which you primarily identify. Answer: Culture is one of the things which we attain from birth as it depends on where we were born and live. I believe in my culture as it provides base and platform to live in this world. In my opinion culture gives us pace to work, live and make better relationship with the environments and surroundings. Culture defines the way of living. So, adhering to the specific culture is a kind of good perceptions.

Beliefs gives us an enlightening thoughts to achieve something, beliefs identifies the hope. We believe in God, so when any kind of worst circumstances occurs there is a ray of hope that God will help us. So belief provide us strength to fight with the situation and this lead us to survive. Belief is a trust, faith in something or in someone. As like a small kid, he knows that if anything will happen to him, his parents will takecare. This is called trust.
