ADAPTATION MODEL OF NURSING
- This important theory was formed by the sister callista Roy.
This theory contain 4 major concepts of PERSON,ENVIRONMENT,HEALTH AND NURSING and it also includes 6 step nursing strategy and that are assessment of behaviour,assessment of stimuli,goal settings,nursing diagnosis,intervention and evaluation and the basic to Roys theory are 3 ideas and they are human being,adaptation and nursing.
The human being is considered as biopsychosocial being who is frequently communicating with the surroundings.The aim of the human being by communication is adaptation.The Roy and Robert says that ,the individual have 2 main inner managing subsystems and they are cognator and regulator.The cognator and regulator are the subsystems and these are the procedures utilized by the human being to manage with impulse from the inner and outer surroundings.
Regulator procedure functions initially by the ANS or Autonomic Nervous system and it also involve neural and perception pathways.This procedure will make ready the individuals for duplicting with surrounding stimuli.Cognator procedure involves emotions,data management,studying and discernment.
