Answer #1

Answer: None of these. (The chromosomal dumps produced during meiosis i.e.the wrong number of chromosomes in a sex cell and errors during meiosis can lead to mutations in gametes)

Meiosis is the oocyte lost due to menses at the Prophase I. ( The oocyte is arrested at an early stage of the first stage where division as a primary oocyte within the ovary takes place.)

Assume the “cells‟ below represents the daughter cell or secondary oocyte and 1st polar body produced by meiosis 1. Draw the chromosomes in place in the „cell” below as they would appear in these daughter cells. Please label which of the cells below represents the secondary oocyte and 1st polar body. Since 46 chromosomes is a lot to draw, please assume a normal 2n compliment of 4. Please use pink to represent maternal chromosomes and blue to represent paternal chromosomes.

Can someone please check my answer? Understanding chromosome number and behavior during cell division is an important concept in genetics. Fill out the chart below for each phase of mitosis in terms of N (where N = haploid number). For example, humans have a haploid number of 23. There are 46 chromosomes (2N) present in prophase of mitosis. Each chromosome is present in its replicated form (i.e. as sister chromatids) so there will be 2 chromatids per chromosome and the...
