The health policies are developed under the influence of presidential leadership. The President passes the bill based on the agendas. The government act as a subsidiary to the private sector and provide access to services, quality of services for the people. Health policies respond to the issues of environmental problems, preventive services. U.S health policy provides a fragmented pattern of services through various health insurance coverage. Each state has its own health policies and health programmes based on the demand and needs of people and to get finance from the federal government.
The health policy faces issues in three critical areas such as access to care, quality of care, cost of care. The young adult and elders are poor access to care due to lack of insurance coverage. People in low-income group and in the rural area are the lack of access to health care services. The need for health care reform, lack of research in the clinical area, policy remaking issues results in the poor quality of services. The advanced treatment, latest technology, the demand of health professionals, the insurance market increases the health care cost.
