Thus we can calculate mL of heparin will be administered in a 24hr period is

=4000 units/10,000 units X 1 mL =0.4 mL for 12 hr,

then we can say that each dose is of 0.4ml for 12hr then the heparin should be administered for a 24 hour period is

=0.4 x 2

=0.8ml
