Answer #1

According to the figure the patient getting

amino acid 10% = 425ml

dextrose 70% = 357ml

lipids 20% = 125ml

additional elements like

calcium gluconate 5mEq

magnesium sulfate 5mEq

pottasium phosphate 22mM

sodium chloride 35mEq

himulin r 10units

MVI12 10ml

infusion rate 110ml/hour for 12 hours

so the total fluid can be 110*12= 1320

here the total volume= 425+357+125+400+10 = 1317 ( both are approximately same )

so the total calorie with

protien = 10*425/100= 42.5gm

= 42.5 * 4 ( 1gm protien = 4 kcal)= 170kcal

from carbohydrate

70* 357/100 = 249.9g

= 249.9 * 4 ( igm carbohydrate= 4kcal)= 999.6kcal

from fat

20*125/100= 25g

= 25 * 9 ( 1gm fat = 9 kcal) = 225kcal

total calorie per bag = 170+999.6+225

= 1394.6 kcal
