It can be said that the most useful information method which can be used by the management is variable costing.

Variable costing does the accounting of all the material costs (excluding fixed costs) directly related to the product or can be said that variable costing is the costing of manufacturing costs such as raw material cost s, labour costs etc and only includes variable manufacturing costs.

  • Variable costing is useful method as it compares the potential profits of different products/product lines.
  • Variable costing helps in rise of production by determining various issues of absorption costing.
  • Variable costing helps in determining the break-even analysis, by knowing the basic number of units lower units to be sold.
