Answer #1

The cells communicate with each other and with other cells of our body via electric impulses.

EEG(electroencephalogram) is a non-invasive investigation of the brain which shows the electrical activity of the brain by a specialized graph paper.

In this test, the technician attaches some electrodes to our brain from the EEG machine to record our brain waves. It is advised to wash your hair prior to test because a dirty hair or scalp can create a problem with electrode adherence.

During EEG to reduce muscle movement and anxiety, the patient can be sedated prior to the test.

Answer - If a client says "I will receive a sedative 1 hour before the procedure", it indicates an understanding of the teaching.

Other options are wrong because -

A. I should not wash my hair prior to the procedure. (Hairwash is necessary)

C. I should avoid eating prior to the procedure. (There is no way that food can interrupt in EEG)

D. I will be exposed to flashes of light during my procedure. (There is no flashes of light)
