The potential for first aid to save lives has improved dramatically during recent years. Procedures utilise state of the art medical equipment including automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for assisting cardiac arrest victims, and adrenaline auto-injectors that counteract severe allergic reactions experienced by a growing number of Australians.
