How does aging affect vital signs and how does this affect assessment and treatment.

Checking of vital signs is a important part of doing physical examination.vital signs includes body temperature,pulse,respiration,blood pressure.

With age temperature of body can be slightly changed.as age increases our body looses subcutaneous fat so our body will be struggling for maintaining temperature.fever is the common sign for old age.

With age pulse rate can became slightly fast.specially after Excersizes it will not come back to a normal state soon.

With age respiration does not change markely.

Blood pressure can be changed due to age.due to physiological changes systolic and diastolic blood pressure level can ne noticed.hypertension is the common example.

With aging the changing pattern of vital sign can affect assessment.when we will do physical examination for them we have to carefully notice all the changes properly and then treatment schedule can be planned for them.
