deceleration during 10m is mu_k*g = 0.2*10 = 2m/s^2

final Velocity when block enters ramp

Vi= Vu2 – 2as = 102 – 2 * 2 * 10 = 7.746m/s

Now when it travels above velocity

mgr = 1/2mVi2 – 1/2mV

Now at the top position, the block stops

f=mu*N

mg = usmVf/

Put Vf from this into energy equation

Using the above two equations we get

a)  = 1.125m (1+2*us)

b) As the radius of ramp and Vi is independent of mass of block the doubled mass will require same ramp
