desired dose = 50 unit / kg
client wt = 140 lb , that is 63.50 kg
So desired dose would be = 50 x 63.50
= 3175 unit
Rate of administration = 3715 / 3000

2) Total volume = 1000 ml
time = 8 hr
drop factor = 15 gtt / mins
Drops per mins = ( total volume x drop factor ) / time in mins
= ( 1000 x 15 ) / 8 x 60
= 31.25
  drops per mins = 31 gtt / mins

3) In this problem with given values,
Drops per mins = ( total volume x drop factor ) / time in mins
= ( 1000 ml x 10 ) / 12 x 60
= 13.88
The answer is 14 drops per mins

4) Tagamet total volume = 50 ml
Drop per mins = ( total volume x drop factor ) / time in mins
= ( 50 x 15 ) / 1 x 60
= 12.5

The answer is 13 drops per mins.
