BRCA- BReast CAncer gene.

BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 are the mutated genes which result in the increasing the risk of developing breast cancer.BRCA gene is on chromosone 17 and BRCA gene is on chromosome 13.

They are heriditary and they can increase risk of developing breast cancer, ovarian cancer, a prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer.

These gene mutation cannot skip a generation.

Blood test and genetic testing can confirm the presence of BRCA genes.in genetic testing heterozygous Germaine pathogenetic varient can know the mutated genes.

Genetic testing will help an individual by knowing whether he have chance of developing or passing a disorder.

It has both advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages include relief of knowing he/she is not going to develop a diseases.It provides more chance of survival for the patients by providing care.They can obtain treatment for the disease in early stage.

Disadvantages includes stress, anxiety, depression etc.

But my thoughts on gnetige testing is it is advantageous and can help people overcome their fears and they can also increase our survival rate by knowing the disease or its risk of developing a disease in early stage.
